    Tammy Lee Grimes was an actress and singer. She debuted in 1955 on Broadway. She also won two Tony Awards, one for her part in the 1960 The Unsinkable Molly Brown and the other for her role as Amanda Prynne in Private Lives.

    Grimes married three times. The first was Christopher Plummer whom she married in 1956 and divorced in 1960. She had a daughter, Amanda Plummer. Her second marriage to Jeremy Slate was in 1966, and they divorced in 1967. Her final marriage was to Richard Bell in 1971. She lived in Englewood at the time of her death.

    Eartha Mae Kitt was a singer and actress. She began her career in 1942 appearing on Broadway. She was most well-known for her 1953 songs "C'est si bon" and "Santa Baby." As for her acting, she is most well-known for her part as Catwoman in the 1967 Batman television series. 

    Kitt was also a civil rights activist and international peace activist. Kitt worked with Englewood City Councilwoman Shirley Lacey in the mid-1960s to help raise money for the Southern Civil Rights Movement. In 1965 she played a benefit gala in Paramus at the Neptune Inn with Alan Alda, Clyde McPhatter, and the Isley Brothers.

    Kitt married John William McDonald in 1960 but separated in 1964. Kitt had a daughter, Kitt.

    Betsy Palmer was an American actress. Her first television appearance was in 1951 on Miss Susan. She is well-known for her part as Pamela Voorhees on Friday the 13th. She also starred in multiple Broadway shows and was a member of the Actors Studio in Hell's Kitchen. She lived in Englewood for a time in the late 1960s. Palmer married Vincent J. Merendino in 1954 and divorced him in 1971. She had one daughter, Melissa.

    Shelia Elaine Frazier is an American actress, model, and producer. Her first film was Super Fly in 1972. She grew up in Manhattan until age ten. She moved to Englewood with her mother and attended Dwight Morrow High School.

    Frazier was married to Sam McKeith. She had a son, Derek McKeith. She married John Atchinson in 2008.

    Helen Hayes MacArthur was an American actress active from 1905 to 1987 given the nickname "First Lady of American Theatre." She was the second woman to have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award (EGOT). She was the first person to win the Triple Crown of Acting. She received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the National Medal of Arts. She has an annual award named after her recognizing excellence in theater in Washington D.C. since 1984. The Fulton Theatre in New York City on 46th Street was also renamed after her. The theater was torn down in 1982, but the Little Theatre nearby was renamed after her instead. 

    Hayes was Catholic and participated in politics as a Republican. She was also known for her philanthropy donating to the New York City Riverside Shakespeare Company and was a member of the board of directors for the Greater New York City Council of the Girl Scouts of the USA in the 1970s. Most notable is her work with the Helen Hayes Hospital. The medical center focused on physical rehabilitation and was located in West Haverstraw, New York. She became involved in the 1940s with the hospital, which was renamed after her in 1974. She also helped create the Actors' Fund Home in Englewood

    She married Charles MacArthur in 1928. She had two children a daughter Mary who died in 1949 due to polio and James Gordon MacArthur, an adopted son who was also a successful actor. She also had four grandchildren, Charles P. MacArthur, Mary McClure, Juliette Rappaport, and James D. MacArthur.

    Born in Englewood New Jersey in 1913, Helen Burke attended St. Cecilia school. In the 1930s, Helen Burke Travolta helped lay the foundation for a thriving community film and theater scene in northern New Jersey. She was a founding member of the Bergen County Cine Club and the Bergen County Players. She also directed the drama programs at Dwight Morrow High School and St. Cecilia High School. In 1937 she married Salvatore S. Travolta. She had six children, Ellen, Margaret, Anne, Sam, Joey, and John, all of whom pursued careers in the entertainment industry.
