    St. Paul's Episcopal Church was organized in 1865. The first church building was finished in 1866. The second church building was finished in 1899. The Parish House was completed in 1916. The east side addition was built in 1922. The first priest was Ozi William Whitaker.

    St. Anthony's Orthodox Church was the first Pan-Orthodox Parish in North America. In 1956 Mitchell Moore, Theodore Maloof, Abraham G. Debs, George Shamyer, Edward Deeb, Alex Sahadi, and George A. Hatab started the mission. They began the congregation at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Englewood. In December 1957 the congregation temporarily moved into the Masonic Lodge and by 1961 land was purchased to build a church.

    The Church of God in Christ is a Christian church in Englewood. The church has had numerous spiritual leaders including Reverand C.C. Chapman. Steven Schwartz is one of the most recent pastors. One of the church's structures was created on October 18, 1934.

    The Mehfil-e-Shahe-Khorasan is a mosque in Englewood. It was established in 1975. The original building caught fire in 1978.
  • First Presbyterian Church.jpg

    The First Presbyterian Church was the first church in Englewood and the first of its denomination in Bergen County. The congregation began in 1859 and met at John M. Deuel's schoolhouse. A chapel was completed on March 25, 1860. The first pastor was Reverand James Harrison.

    Dwight Chapel belonged to the First Presbyterian Church. The Church cornerstone was laid on February 22, 1869. It was finished in 1883 on Palisade Avenue and William Street. It was later moved to Palisade and Lafayette Avenues. The first Reverand of the chapel was James Eells. He was succeeded on May 2, 1897, by Reverand Samuel Munce Hamilton. Reverand Bruce S. Wright was the third leader of the church from October to December 1918. Reverand Robert Davis served as minister in 1919. Reverand Carl H. Elmore began that same year and served until 1944. Reverand Sr. Edwin O. Kennedy succeeded him.

    The Hebrew Men's Association was founded in 1935 by the  Congregation Ahavath Torah at the Englewood Synagogue located on Englewood Avenue.

    Kehilat Kesher is an Orthodox synagogue in Englewood. Residents from both Englewood and Tenafly attend service. The synagogue was founded in 2000. Starting in 2010, Rabbi Akiva Block has served the synagogue.

    St. Cecilia Interparochial School was an elementary school associated with the St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Englewood. It closed in 2011 or 2012.

    St. Cecilia High School was a catholic school connected to the St. Cecilia Church in Englewood. Most famously, Vincent Lombardi worked at the school as an athletic coach and led football and basketball teams to national championships. It closed in 1986.

    The Women's Christian Temperance Union founded in 1874 is an organization dedicated to the Temperance Movement. It became one of the largest and most influential women's groups during this era. The organization focused on labor laws, prison reform, women's suffrage, public health, prostitution, international peace, and domestic violence. The organization began heavily focusing on supporting the 18th Amendment and alcohol prohibition during the early 1900s. The first presidents were Annie Wittenmyer and Frances Willard.
