He had many famous clientele including Roosevelt Brown, Dizzy Gillespie, Eddie Murphy, Wilson Pickett, George Benson, J. J. Johnson, and George Powell. He also cut hair for inmates at Bergen County Jail. He retired in April 2002 and moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
