Description
The Congregation Ahavath Torah is an Orthodox synagogue in Englewood. The synagogue was developed first in 1895 by eight families and evolved into the Ahavath Torah. In 1911 a location was purchased at 33 Humphery Street. It moved to Englewood Avenue in 1958. According to the synagogue, Rabbi Issac Swift became a leader of the synagogue in 1960 and was succeeded by Rabbi Shmuel Goldin in 1984. Rabbi Chaim Poupko succeeded him in 2017.
