Ways to Explore

Click on one of the tabs under “Explore” to investigate items under preset categories. All items are organized into five basic groups: Documents, Events, Organizations/Institutions, People, and Places. Tags are broad search terms to filter the website’s information. The map shows all the locations relevant to items on the website.

Through this tab, you can look at every item on the website.

Browse Collections

Under this tab, you can search for documents based on the person or organization that provided access to the resource. 

Metadata Tab

You can find more preset search options under the “Metadata” tab including occupations, types of places, types of institutions, types of documents, and types of events. Under this tab, you can also click on “Search Items” which will take you to an advanced item search.

Browse Exhibits

Under this tab, you can investigate particularly influential items to Englewood.
